Entry for Challenge 2.03 'Fanmix Time-Evolution' @ wolfpacking
1: So Contagious by Acceptance
“Could this be out of line? Could this be out of line? To say you're the only one breaking me down like this You're the only one I would take a shot on Keep me hanging on so contagiously”
Author's Note: Lydia is clearly hooked on Jackson, and Jackson is hooked on Lydia. After all, Lydia was Jackson's past he had to come to terms with to become a werewolf.
2: Black Roses Red by Alana Grace
“Drowning in my loneliness, ow long must I hold my breath? So much emptiness inside I could fill the deepest sea. I reach to the sky as the moon looks on. One last year has come and gone. It's time to let your love rain down on me. Can you turn my black roses red? Cuz I'm feelin like I'll blame it on love”
Author's Note: I feel that this song is Lydia to Stiles, especially in the second season. Even though she didn't admit it, throughout the season she looked to Stiles for relief, comic and just life relief. Stiles gave it to her. Stiles could also turn her 'black roses red'
3: Stronger by Britney Spears
“You might think that I can’t take it, but you’re wrong. ‘Cause now I’m… Stronger than yesterday. Now it’s nothing but my way. My lonliness ain’t killing me no more. I’m stronger”
Author's Note: This is definitely a song for her throughout both seasons. She wanted to show Jackson she was stronger without him when they broke up. And then after the whole espapade of her roaming around the woods naked, and walking into school. she wanted to show the students she's still strong.
4: Another Me by The Cab
“I gave you everything you ever wanted. You gave me nothing but grief. Now that I'm gone you'll see I'm your missing piece. Well, good luck, finding another me”
Author's Note: 'I'm your missing piece.' Pretty self explanatory. Lydia held the key figuratively and in real life to Jackson's heart, and that key was a huge part of Jackson. Jackson hasn't found anyone, he couldn't even get Allison's attention. Instead, Lydia was all he could think about.,
5: Titanium by David Guetta ft. Sia
.“Raise your voice, sticks and stones may break my bones I'm talking loud, not saying much I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose fire away, fire away”
Author's Note: Along with the song 'Stronger' this could also be a Lydia Martin Theme song. She wanted to show the high school and the guidance counsler that nothing could break her. Absolutely nothing.
6: Never Let Me Go by Florence + the Machine
“Though the pressure's hard to take, it's the only way I can escape, it seems a heavy choice to make, but now I am under, Oh. And it's breaking over me, a thousand miles down to the sea bed, found the place to rest my head”
Author's Note: I immediately thought of this song after Jackson "came back to life" at the end of season 2. She ran to him. And he grabbed her. The look on his face was of relief, and I'm sure if we could see her face, her's would have shown relief and hopes that he never lets her go/puts her through that again.
7: Revolver Madonna ft. David Guetta & Lil’ Wayne
“Click click, I'm a sex pistol. My love should be illegal. Real deal, baby I'm no counterfeit, click, click. Line 'em up, knock 'em down. My looks can kill E O E O. My body's fully loaded and I got more ammo”
Author's Note: Lydia is a confident girl. End of story. She's got the looks. She's got the smarts. She's the full package.
8: Hurricane by 30 Seconds to Mars ft. Kanye West
“You say you wrong, you wrong, I’m right, I’m right, you’re wrong, we fight Ok, I’m running from the light, running from the day to night. Oh, the quiet silence defines our misery, the riot inside keeps trying to visit me. No matter how we try, it’s too much history. Too many bad notes playing in our symphony”
Author's Note: Lydia and Jackson's relationship. They fought, a lot. They loved each other. No matter how hard they tried to forget each other, they still were attracted and wanted each other. That's love.
